OUR SERVICES
Flat tire? Chain came off? We often fix your bike the same day!
A bike that's used frequently will break down occasionally. Regular maintenance can significantly extend the lifespan of your bike. If you notice something's wrong with your bike, we recommend stopping to ride it and stopping by immediately. This often helps prevent things from getting worse.
Besides regular city bikes, you can also bring folding bikes, sports bikes, and eBikes (with Bosch or Shimano motors) to us. You're very welcome, even without an appointment. Our friendly staff is happy to help and give advice.
Maintenance of roadbikes
At FietsFixers, you can leave your roadbike for maintenance or repairs with peace of mind. Our experienced mechanics know what they're doing!
Does your bike need maintenance? Have you noticed a problem that needs to be fixed (quickly)? Hear a strange noise, or something rattling? Don't wait long! Please call as soon as possible to schedule an appointment, and we'll work with you to find the best time.
Of course, you can always just drop in. There's a good chance that we can have your bike repaired within a few days.
You will automatically receive an email from us when the repair is complete.
We often repair your bicycle the same day.
KEY SERVICE
Make a copy of a key
Have you lost your AXA or Abus key and is the bike insured? We can order a copy using the key number listed on your purchase invoice or key card. You can pick it up from us in about a week. We'll notify you by email when it arrives.
Not only is it handy to always have a spare key for your bike, but it's also necessary for insurance purposes if it gets stolen, for example. In that case, the insurance company expects you to be able to provide two original keys.
To order a new key, you'll need the key number. You can find this on your bike's (spare) key, on the invoice, or on your insurance policy. Sometimes it's on a separate card. The key number can consist of both numbers and letters. If you have an electric bike, the key to the ring lock is usually the same as the key to the battery.
Important
Always inform your bicycle insurance company that you've ordered a new key. This key is marked with a C for 'copy' and must be registered with your insurer to keep your insurance valid. You are only entitled to reimbursement of the insured amount if you have two original keys or registered copies.
Sometimes you can't open a lock (or chain lock). It might be broken, the key might have broken off inside, or you might even have lost the key. If your bike isn't locked to anything, you can bring it to us. If we can't open it either, we'll cut through the lock and install a new one after consultation.
Please note: on an eBike, the key to the ring lock is usually the same as the key to the battery. We can replace both as a set so you can continue using the bike with one single key.
Is your bike secured to something? We also sharpen on-site!
You can also schedule an appointment for grinding the lock open on-site. The only requirement is that the bike is located within approximately 2.5 km of our shop.
If necessary, we can take the bicycle back with us immediately and install a new lock in the workshop.

TIPS AGAINST BICYCLE THEFT
Stay one step ahead of thieves!
Happy with your bike? Watch out, thieves will be too! Secure your bike to something with a second lock. With our extensive range of bike locks, you'll stay one step ahead of bike thieves. There's nothing more annoying than a stolen bike. Unfortunately, completely preventing bike theft is impossible. However, there are plenty of ways to make it as difficult as possible for bike thieves. This isn't just by properly locking your bike with an ART** (chain)lock, but also by parking it as securely as possible. The importance of a second lock is often underestimated. Breaking two locks takes a lot of time, and this is why bike thieves will abandon them. It's also important to secure your bike to a post or fence, and a second lock is perfect for that. A second ART lock is often required when taking out bicycle insurance, especially for e-bikes and more expensive bikes. Many insurers require a second lock, and this lock must also have an ART** quality mark, just like the first lock. Almost every (electric) bicycle comes standard with an ART**-approved ring lock. A second lock allows you to secure the bicycle to a bike rack, wall anchor, pole, or fence. This prevents the bicycle from being lifted and loaded into a van, for example. Furthermore, breaking two locks takes a lot of time. So park your bicycle in a safe place and secure it with a second lock. This ensures you'll find your bicycle where you left it.
Why a second ART-approved lock?
-
A second ART-approved lock significantly reduces the risk of theft.
-
Many insurers require a second ART-approved lock to qualify for theft insurance.
-
The ART quality mark guarantees the quality and reliability of the lock against theft.
-
The requirements for the second lock may vary per insurer, but an ART** quality mark is often a requirement.
